Aims of CURF

CURF is a platform for information on sustainability and climate change in the Canberra region.  It aims to provide a medium for sharing of information on these topics within and between university, research, federal, state and local government institutions.  It also aims to operate as a single, coherent portal for urban and regional research in the Canberra region in the context of sustainability and climate change.

Goals and objectives

CURF’s goals are to:

• Provide a portal (in particular a website) for information on urban and regional research activity, seminars, events and student involvement especially in the context of climate change and sustainability; and
• Be a platform for innovation and exchange on critical issues facing the Canberra region including urban and regional planning, climate change and sustainability.

Our initial objective is to map ‘who is doing what’ in urban and regional research, especially in the context of climate change and sustainability in Canberra and the surrounding region from the University of Canberra and The Australian National University.
