Greening Australia invites applications for a PhD scholarship based at the Centre for Research & Action at the University of Canberra. The main aim of this PhD program will be to assess and quantify the health benefits (mental and physical) for adults volunteering in practical environmental activities; including the effect of level of engagement, the moderating effects of demographic and social factors and the effects of the nature of the volunteer experience. A mixed method approach will be used that includes quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (per annum) for 3 years.
